It was the 31^st of October, Halloween. I was going trick or treating as a vampire, so excited I decided to go get my costume ready for the night. So I was upstairs getting my costume ready, when I heard mum shout from downstairs, “Ellie I need you to go to the shops to get me some sweets for the children tonight”. “But mum I can’t I am getting my costume ready for tonight” I exclaimed. “Oh you have plenty of time, now get me two bags here is the money waving it in front of me”. “Fine, but you better make my favourite meal for me doing this” I mumbled. “You got it, pasta it is”. As I walked out the door and trembled down the street, I began to think of what else I would need tonight. Looking up at the sky I nearly walked into the door of the shop, a tall black building it was, I don’t understand why it’s only a corner shop? As I walked in the shop the sweets were right in front of me. Taking them over to the counter I seen some little pumpkin bags, I thought I would get one as I didn’t have anything but a plastic bag.

Happily I walked out of the shop with my little pumpkin bag and the sweets. Finally I was home. “Mum” I shouted as I walked in the house. It smelt delightful, tomato pasta! Flinging the sweets and my pumpkin bag in the hall, I went in the kitchen where there was a note next to a bowl of pasta. “I have gone to the shops, we need a few decorations for tonight, Mum x”. Thinking angrily to myself “She could have got the damn sweets; my outfit could be absolutely near perfect by now”!

I ate my pasta, it was lovely! I looked at the clock, it was 5 o’clock. My friend was coming round at 6. Running up the stairs, I heard the phone go. I had to run back downstairs to answer it, I was too late it went to voicemail. I listened “Hi Ellie, its ruby change of plan, my mum’s friend has just knocked round she is going to a concert and has a spare backstage pass. She was meant to go with someone else but they are ill, so she offered it to my mum. So can I come to yours at half five instead? Ok then byee”. “Right, I want to get my entire outfit ready before Ruby comes so I need to hurry”.

My outfit was amazing I just got it all ready, then I heard a knock on the door opening it I was about to say “Hi Ruby just come and do your make-up upstairs.” Halfway through my sentence I stopped it was Mum. “Hi mum”. “Hi Ellie”. Another knock at the door it was Ruby, “Hi, Haha what are you Ruby?” “I’m a lizard!” We added the finishing touches to my outfit, then we set off for a amazing night!

Mountain climbing story

A group of Americans attempted to climb K2 in 1953. It was very successful, but as the group were going to attempt the final attack to the top. The weather changed in a big way. A violent snowstorm let loose. Luckily they had resources to last them 10 days. They hoped that the bad weather would blow over, before their resources ran out. But it didn’t. Adding to their sadness, one of the members of the group developed a blood clot in one of his legs, leaving him unable to move. Also another member was experiencing a severe case of frost bite in his feet. It was now a fight for everybody’s lives, and going down would be the best idea. The horrendous weather turned out to be more difficult than was first thought.

During the first day of them trying to get down they had only travelled a few hundred yards from their previous position.  As the usual procedure they were tied together in two separate teams. Suddenly one of the climbers fell, lost his footing and pulled everyone else with him. Eventually they all got back, but they could have died falling, they only survived because someone in the group had dug an ice axe and held tight hold of it. Nearly died, but survived.

First of all I would buy an Asda smartprice 2 litre still water for 17p, which would be a lot to keep you going for the day, also keep the empty bottle to fill up with water from places. I would then buy 1 orange also from Asda for 25p which is giving you something to eat and a bit of juice. Afterwards I would buy one Elka Croissant for 40p from Asda for a snack. Then use the public toilets to get a wash. Then go the train station and get a news paper “metro newspaper” which will I get for free off the train. I would then use this to cover me up for the night, it will keep me warm.  For 44p then buy an apple and grape snack pack from Asda, and just an apple snack pack for 44p as well.  Then the left over 2p will just have to go towards the next day.
